1st day of 1st grade

I can't believe he is in first grade already. Time sure flies. My biggest little guy is getting older.

My stylist, Melissa and I had the pleasure of working with this super star high school senior! Ramonte was a pleasure to photograph. At first Ramonte was a little hesitant going solo in front of the camera, but reached his full super star status when he flashed his gorgeous smile. It was so fun working with Ramonte. He totally rocked this session! I was very proud of him.

I'm trying to hold on to the last days of summer. I will miss the "beat the heat" days that we had this summer. The days where you just want to sit back, sip lemonade and pray for a cool breeze at night. I will miss steamed crabs, popsicles with my children and the tiny, but significant lights from the fireflies. It's back to school for many this week-- including myself as a teacher. I look forward to meeting my new students, bright eyed, and full of laughs for me. I look forward to the amazing photo projects I hope to create with them. I look forward to falling into the Fall leaves. But, I'm getting ahead of myself. Back to summer...where was I, oh yes, we had a recording breaking HOT summer, but it was the best. Hope you too are enjoying the rest of the days of summer.

Espana- Boat Series

I'm back from Holiday in Andalucia, Spain. It was a wonderful holiday and a beautiful experience. I finally got to use my 8 years of Spanish language. I thoroughly enjoyed walking through the towns during Siesta. (the best time to look like a weirdo tourist with a camera- whilst everyone else was asleep.) This is the first of several series to come from my holiday. Enjoy. xo

Under the Spanish Sun

So I'm off to Spain for a couple of weeks. I wonder as I look up at our soon to be August clouds here in America, if the clouds are as thick and wonderful in Southern Spain. I guess I will soon find out. Can't wait to compare. Happy August. And don't forget to take some time to enjoy the view up above.  xo
