Let them eat cake!

I'm always fascinated by famous women in history. Especially fashionable women in history. It was said in 1789 that Marie Antoinette said about the poor French people who had no bread, to "Let them eat cake." Although she led lavish lifestyle, according to research, this phrase was only a rumor and this was uncharacteristic of Marie Antoinette to be so callous. In fact, it was said that Marie Antoinette was very generous to the poor and that this phrase was rumored to have started years before Marie Antoinette was even in Versaille palace. Unfortunately, she was later beheaded. But she was a lady of style and I'm always fascinated by women of style. This is the first of my "women in history" fashion series. Today was a great shoot. It's been awhile since I've slayed some fabulous portraits, so enjoy this tiny little preview of one of my many projects to come.

Red Hot!

I absolutely loved my session today with one of my dear friends Tracey Graham. Not only is she an amazing English teacher, but she is an even more amazing model. She had the most amazing red hair and a gorgeous face! She totally rocked the camera and was even able to look like the glamorous beauties from the 1940's ie: the Joan Crawfords and Betty Davis' of the day.  They say you can read a person by their eyes and their face. Tracey has got that covered! Totally gorge Trace!
