This is dedicated to my dog, whom I recently lost to a tragic accident. I miss him and will always love him.

Meet Colleen!

Meet Colleen. She is a mother, a wife, a sister, and a friend. She is my beautiful sister in law. She is a fun mother of 3 adorable children. A loving wife and an AMAZING cook! I was so excited to photograph her to show her just how gorgeous she is. I've launched my new Fashion Portrait Line and I'm excited that I've kicked it off with Colleen! I love you Colleen! xo

2 is always better than 1

After our session today, our very own, Melissa had a sweet moment with her new beau, Nate. I was super ecstatic to see my assistant in love. We are so used to capturing everyone else's moments of love, it was fun to actually take a step behing the scenes to see my Meli in love. And like the motto says, "2 is better than 1"...I second that! xo Happy saturday!

Wanderlust

He is intelligent...funny...inquisitive...the best uncle to his nephews...a great listener...a world traveler...a caring son...a man of God...and one of my favorite guys....he is my brother. I was honored to have an impromptu session with him today. He isn't around much as he has that wanderlust spirit. I am so proud of him and can't wait to one day join him in one of his traveling adventures. xo

Baby it's cold outside!

Today felt like a winter blast. This is the first day that I felt like going home and wrapping myself up in a blanket and drinking tea with crumpets.

Fairy Apple Orchard

I've been working on my ongoing fine art book. Here is a little sneak peak of one of the pieces from the book. I'm making a "hopeful" release date of Summer 2012...or maybe Fall 2012... but we'll see where this year takes me.  Happy over the hump day!

Apples, Apples Everywhere!

So we took the children apple picking today with friends, to kick off the FALL holiday season. We went to Baughers Farm. They have the best apple orchards. The farmer takes the apple pickers on a tractor ride to the orchards where you are given a peck (really a bag) to pick and you are off on your own. It was nice- the serenity of the orchards (and the buzzing of the bees- yikes). The smell of the sweet apples is intoxicating. I absolutely LOVE the FALL season, not just for the colors, but for the treats. Last night I had my first attempt at homemade candied and caramel apples--- respectively. They were ohhh sooo goey and delicious. It takes me back to my childhood when my mother used to make homemade apple treats for me and my brother. Tonight I will attempt a homemade apple pie. Yes-- with some delicious vanilla ice cream on top. Wish me luck. I've never been much of a kitchen diva....Just a diva in general (well, for those of you  that know me-- just a diva against all things bugs, messy, dirt etc.) But I think this was a successful farm visit with friends. Till next time-- enjoy.

Luckily my children were not towed!  :-)

New York on Sundays

It was a fabulous Sunday to hit the city--New York City that is. There isn't any other place in the world that I feel so at home....so inspired, so alive. I took some time out from my ever so hectic schedule to catch up with some old friends and clients. I did a little touring, and window shopping in the big apple on a Sunday. The weather was perfect. My friends were awesome-- and my favorite little pizza shop was as tasty as ever. Here are a few snapshots from my Sunday soiree in the big city.

My friend looking ever so fierce!!!

We looked for the "cash cab"--- but no luck. :-)

Central Park is the BEST park in a big city. I tried not to get run over from all the joggers and strollers.
Gelllato in front of the Met Opera House....m-m-m-m-m....

Cuddly Wuddly

So this is the only time, I ever talk in baby talk-- when I'm talking to my dog. Okay, and when my kids were like born, but no waaay..they would give me the "moooom" that's embarrassing look now if i break out in that "come mere little cuddly wuddly- well you get the picture. So today I felt like getting a dog. So I did. His name was Max, per the "shelter" we got him from. But I can't have a dog share the same name as my son. So I renamed him Benji. Benji just loooves his new home. He has two wild little boys to play with, and a mommy who likes to cuddle. So everybody is happily cuddling in Benji land. Check 'em out.
