She Said YES!

I'm super excited to announce that yesterday my brother got engaged. I am so happy for my brother and his wonderful new fiance. She happens to be a fabulous lady. More to come on this story soon!!! But just to leave you with some eye candy and some ear candy for the soul--- When my brother proposed he took her on top of the world trade center building and laid out pictures from their trips from around the world. Not suspecting a thing-- my brother got down on one knee and asked his best friend to spend the rest of her life with him. --- AWWWWW!!! I'm so proud of my brother-- his inner romance came pouring through at one of the best times of his life.  x0 Enjoy!

From A Distance

As promised, here is their story....Look at a map. Notice the difference between Maryland, Florida and then take a glance at New York. That's how many miles apart these two were, until one day, they were joined together. It really was fate that made this adorable union. Katie went to visit her family in warm, sunny Florida one weekend and that's when Katie met Chris. Well, it wasn't all "movie like"...there was some happenings in between, but to avoid a gratuitous rant on my part- let's just say--- it was meant to be. I am so happy that they found each other. The irony is that this artist (Katie) and drummer for a band (Chris) are both originally from New York. Who knew that life would take them from their hometowns down south to Maryland "hon" and Florida. Sometimes, it makes you wonder about the whole "am I on the right path" question.  Well the answer to that in my opinon is....YES-- we all have a path. And if we just follow it -- it will lead us home. You can tell by their pics that their hearts are HOME.  Enjoy!  xo

Katie and Chris (sneak peek)

Yesterday was a lovely day of shooting. Melissa and I headed out with our new favorite intern- Dylan Beatty and went to the beautiful Ambassador Apartments for our shoot. It was a lovely "almost" spring day. We shot in the lobby of the 1920's apartment building as well as in the gardens. I must say, the exotic scents from the Indian restaurant made our mouths water as they prepared for the day.  Here is a sneak peek. More to come later of this lovely couple. I can't wait to tell you all about their "love story".

Snow Day

We've been couped up for three days. There was a major snowstorm that hit the East Coast and crippled our area. So we did what we could do on a snow day--Enjoy hot chocolate, tons of eating, snowball fights and cuddles.
